What is the highest percentage of water you can safely change when doing a water change. I normally do a 25% water change every 2 days. But, let's say there was an emergency or something what would be highest I could go without harming the discus?
Thanks.

i've done 80%
can't remember the reason, i do remember prepareing all my water (380ltrs) for about 48hrs before
i can't think of a reason why you would need to do more than 50%

Unless you really know what you are doing I wouldn't go more than 30%. better to increase the frequency rather than volume. That's a general answer but it depends a lot on your water conditions as well.

I have a silly question,
In regards to all the water changes, when adding med’s to the tank, is it O.K to keep changing the water, wouldn’t you need to leave the water so the fish can absorb the medication?

Depends on the med. Generally though you should do a w/c before adding meds. Then wait at least 3 days before changing the water again. But again it all depends on the med.
