POWER HEAD

Hi All

I have a question if anyone can help please?


I have a power head in my aging barrel which has a long hose connected to the power head so i can top up my fish tank. My concern is it takes only 15mins to top up my discus fsh tank with 220 litters of water with the power head & this might be to quick and discus might not like it.


my question Is If some how i was to squeeze half of the thickness at the end of the hose to make it take longer to top up 220 litters to my fish tank will this damage or even blow the power head up?

will be fine go get an irrigation tap from bunnings to fit your house and just use that to control the flow.

Just use a diffuser (sponge or spraybar) on the end, same flow but less current.
