I just received my new pair. They came off a flight from interstate last night, so they're probably not looking their best, but they're beautiful already. Photo's just don't do them justice.

These two are intermediate for albino, snakeskin and leopard.

looks nice, but a bit stressed, I think in 2 weeks time you will have a better shot :-)

You're right, they were very stressed this morning when I took that. Their stress bars have faded a little tonight, they took some food, and were having a good look around, so definately starting to settle in.

Might post another photo in a few weeks when they're more settled :)

What strains did you think they were? look like browns to me, no albino, SS or leopard there. :?:

Im sure they will settle in nicely especially if they are eating again already. Cant wait to see new pics. Even a day a or two makes a massive difference.

they are intermediates mate.....they dont show the recessive gene. thier young will though if they are inters

Ness is right, the recessive genes will only show in their offspring. I got them from a reliable source, so I'm reasonably sure I can trust what they tell me about their genetics. As far as I know, there's no way to tell intermediates just by looking at them, so I have to trust.. Apparently there's golden in there too :P

If all their offspring turns out to be browns, I'll be asking for a partial refund, but keeping the fish, of course, as I'm in love with them already! :)

just out of curiosity mate, how much were they, and where from. if you dont mind me asking that is....

Hmmm... we'll see the progress then...

Albino X Snakeskin = physical appearance should be Turquoise or Snakeskin (F1)... but the fish bloodline carries the Alb gene...

If the Snakeskin type is Fineline Snakeskin (thinline), it's still make sense that some of the offsprings missed into bold pattern TurQ like that...

But if you mention that the intermediate Albino is from Leopard Snakeskin or Leopard gene... that's a big question mark for the fish...
