hi my red rose has 1 gill closed and 1open and rapped brething sorry for the spelling :shock: will 25%water change and para-cide or fluke&tapeworm tablets work it has just started in the last 30min

Hi, firstly don't panic.
If this has only just started then can you tell me if you have changed anything added anything in the last day or so?

A water change will help, but I would suggest a larger change at least 50% if you can for the next few days. Clean water is your best med right now, so go with that, but it would be advisable to add an airstone to raise the O2 level. If the fish still continues this action it might be flukes, but flukes normally show by heavy breathing, clamped fins, using one gill and flicking themselves against objects in th tank. Only treat with a med when you are sure of the diagnosis.

Others might add to this, but this is what I would do right now.

Hi Richard, can you check ammonia, nitrite & nitrates & post?

yes did a 2 water change 50% last nite and 25% today
it looks like it came good over nite
checked ammonia nitrite and nitrates thay are all ok
ph is 6.8 to 7.0

i have to ph 7.0 and the rest is ok
