hi i looked in my tank yesterday and saw some eggs and today they are gone so mum must have scooped them up, my question is when she has them in here mouth does she look like an african ciclid with a big mouthful and stops eating. i only ask this as i have a lot of plecos in the tank as well and im not sure if they might have eaten the eggs

It is very noticeable when they are brooding. Lips closed, pumping through the gills regularly.

you will definately notice the mouth full closed, lips tight and throught stuck out a bit. mine go dark in the throat too. also mine don't eat while holding

oh ok i guess the plecos must have eaten the eggs then im setting up a few 6x2x2,s so i can put each pair in and no pleco egg eaters, this is the second time this has happened, oh well at least they are sporning :roll:
