Have any of you had holes cut into the base sheet of your tanks and had problems with the glass cracking?
I'm wanting to set up a 6ft tank and have four 1" holes in the base for filtration, water supply and drainage.
I'm intersted to hear from people who've tried this and had problems with the tank.
Cheers in advance,
Dwayne

if the holes are drilled well you will have no problems. there aint all that much pressure per square inch put on the base glass, it's the sides that hold the pressure.

My new tank is being made as we speak. im having 4 holes drilled into the back and 1 on the bottom and i was comfortable doing this based on feedback that its fine. As ness stated, if the drilled holes were done correctly (get a professional to do it - or when the tank is being made) then you will be happy. :)
