Hello everyone, I am happy and apprehensive about starting down the path of discus keeping. I have kept fish for over 20 years now and currently have an african cichlid tank. I have adopted a lovely discus who if everything I have read in the forum so far is in denial about being a discus. I rescued him from a tank where you could not see him in the water. Surprisingly he is not only still alive after 3 weeks but is looking fantastic. I look forward to learning all about the best way to keep him looking that way (mind you I do not know if he is indeed a boy or girl!!) Once I can figure out if I am on the right track, I will be looking for some friends for him. Oh no, only one fish in and I think I am hooked. All my visitors skip the cichlid tank and head straight for the discus!!!.

I will keep trawling through the forum with interest.

cheers,

Sharon  :D
