Hi all,
Will all members, especially experienced and "long time" members, please STOP using BLOODY ABBREVIATIONS.
Sorry to shout, but it is very frustrating for "returnees" like myself and "newbies" to follow some of the posts.
Thanks everyone, in anticipation of your help in this regard.
TOB. :? :wink:

Maybe what we need is a list of acronyms and abbreviations so that we all know what we're talking about... I'll start and others can add:
BBA = black brush algae
BN = bristlenose catfish (ancistrus sp.)
SAE = Siamese algae eater (only fish that eats BBA)
PB = pigeon blood (discus variety)
N01 = amonia
N02 = nitrite
N03 = nitrate
Fertz = Fertiliser for planted tank
PMDD = Poor man's dupla drops (home made fertz)
Macros = (Fertz) Nitrate and Phosphate
Micros = (Fertz) everything else incl. iron (Fe), magnesium(Mg), Boron(B), potassium(K), Zinc (Zn), Manganses (Mn) ...
HTH = Hope this helps
IMO = in my opinion
JMO = just my opinion

Hi Bill, I think we're all guilty of doing that, I know I am :oops:
One thing I think we should be careful about it the abbreviations we give to strains of discus. RSG and ALSS (red spotted green and Albino Leopard snake skin) must really confuse newcomers.
Okay, let's all try to keep it simple :P

Yes Merrilyn, the old Computer Consultant adage KISS, "Keep It Simple Stupid".
Please Merrilyn or anyone else, do not take that the wrong way. :)
