Rainbows etc as Geo tankmates?

hi all . . . can anyone recommend some schooling fish for a geo tank? Tank willl be 8ft and geos will be juveniles to start things off . . thanks, Tim

I am in no way an expert but I have some rainbows with Geophagus steindachneri. They don't bother one another. The rainbows (M. boesmani and trifasciata) occupy the surface and the redhumps spend most of their time mooching around the bottom. These rainbows are also happy in warm water (around 27C)

I don't know which geos you're keeping, mine have a planted tank. I think Rainbows like the plants.
