Hi just wonder is the Eheim 2227 Wet & Dry canister filter provide the similar function to the Bio ball wet & dry filtering kind of system ??
Are they a good and worth buy and using it ? or the normal standard eheim canister is good enough ??
Thanks

They've got no mech filtration ata ll and can clog up quick, if you wanrt to use one make sure you've got a good prefilter on it and keep it clean, for the money your better off with a 2028.

ok
basically i am thinking to have a little noun-power canister before this 2227 with full of wool.
With this sort of pre-filter, will it still be better off buying 2028 or 2228 ??
Thanks

a prefilter like that would be ok, it would fix the biggest problem with the 2227, before you get one get onto google and serch for 2227 + problems there use to be a few isues with this model, hopefully they've been fixed now.

Eheim's 2227/2229 series Wet & Dry filters are the 'lemons' of Eheim's usually brilliant canister filter range.
Do your self a favour and steer clear of them. A 2217 Classic or 2228 Pro will serve you better.
