What exactly does an ovipositor look like? I think my big girl is attemting to mate : ) ... Two have paired up and are cleaning my amazon sword ive seen the big female make some practice runs on the leaves as if she was depositing eggs. No eggs yet, But she does have this pink looking thing coming out of her and ive seen my angel fish lay eggs reminded me alot of that.

That was it for sure. Cannot find the eggs, Think they or somone else ate them.... : ( but atleast i know shes a female now thanks Matt. Will the female eat her eggs if there isnt a male worthy of the task? The 2 males i have are both smaller and juvenille she is the only one to full sexual maturity.

Mate it can sometimes be pretty hard to judge the sex of a discus looking at there breeding tubes alone.
Apparently thou, the females have wider tubes and the males have more narrow ones, almost pointy.
If it is infact a female I would guess the eggs were eaten.
I've had two females in a tank BOTH lay eggs together in the same spot and then sit and watch them for 2-3 days before they all went white/mouldy and they ate them. There were no adult males in the tank at the time.
Check this clip out I made earlier this year. If you look closely you can see the female and males tubes in the closeups.
