Does light colored or dark colored substrate makes any difference to the fish and its colors in a Discus tank ?

I think you'll find most discus keepers when choosing a new subtrate consider this choice based on the substrates effect on live plants and the overall aquarium environment.

I see, because someone was telling me that for light color Discus's one should have dark substrate and vice versa..
