After going through a quick stint of having two fish with swollen eyes.
A internal bacteria infection presumably, treated with Tetracycline, Metro, and Formalin. Fish are well and doing great now.
But tore down the tank, to hopefully prevent any further episodes. The tank had a under gravel filter, to many plants, to much mess, couldn't clean it well enough. A perfect place for bad bacteria.
So I took the opportunity to re-do the tank, I will change the thin layer of gravel in front to sand soon. Plants are suffering a little set back, but will recover in a full bed of Eco Complete.
Before - to yucky.............

After - much easier to clean and better bottom feeding for the Discus too...

BSW... your aquarium looks much better.... congrats mate.
Your old substrate of large stones really wasn't very good. Often uneaten food gets caught between them which the fish can't reach. Also having a smaller stoned substrate is better for your plants and natural bacteria.

Besure to keep us updated on how your tank is progessing in future....:)
