Hi All,

My question is on drilled tank holes for filter hoses. I can see the positive in having the drilled holes so the tank looks cleaner without the hoses. But having the holes at the back of the tank - what does this do for the flow of the tank? Does it blow plants forward? Does the in-take hole pick up alot of the floating debris or do the plants block it? I havent seen one yet (besides pictures) is it secure with the fitting you can buy? Are the fittings for the holes specific for the filter being used?

Sorry for the questions and thanks

I'd use bulkheads on either side of the hole in tank to make your life easier, having it at the right height would give many advantages like helping to remove suspended stuff to light to sink to the bottom, as for the output, most people still use a spray bar, angled either at the glass or slightly upwards so the current isn't too strong.

Ok great, so spray bars etc are still used on the bulkhead instead of the basket type connection. Thanks mate
