Hiya, I'd be really grateful for some advice.

I've got an established 600l with 6 adult discus in. I've had 6 baby discus and some cardinals, corys and loaches in a quarantine tank for the past 2 months. The quarantine tank had an outbreak of whitespot in the first week, which was treat with methylene blue, and no problems since then.

last week i moved over the cardinals, corys and 1 plec to the main tank, and today the adult discus have mild whitespot. they are otherwise well, feeding well, fins up. the cardinals that have moved over are symptom free.

tank parameters - temp 29.5, am 0 nitrite 0, nitrate 10, gh7, kh 1, ph 7.2. no co2, heavily planted.

my question is - could i add aquarium salt in this main tank, as i don't want to use the methylene cos of the heavy planting, or any other suggestions?

many thanks!

you can use salt but your plants wont like it, aim for 1-2tsp/40L, also protozin by waterlife works well (much better then meth blue)
