Strain: Penang Eruption
Age: 1 year +
Size: 5 1/2" SL
Sex: Male (confirmd)

This fish is a Jeffery Yang fish, from Paul Lucas at Discus South in the UK.
I confirned male, he is currently paired with a Premium LSS, also from the same source.

Stunning, stunning fish. I'd be happy to see him swimming in my tank.

Spotted ventrals and even spotting in the caudal fin.

Very nice fish... a couple of things that could be better would be the dorsal area and it's eye colour.

Unfortunately, this fish died a few months ago now. It was fine one night, the next morning it was dead. No sign of disease, stress no lumps or bumps. :cry:

He certainly was a favorite though :)

It happens sometimes, normally you can detect the early stages of illness, but this one just died. Stroke? heart attack? who knows.

A real shame :(

I watched something like that happen with a betta of mine. It was a very healthy fish and I was watching it swim around. In a second it started darting all over the tank and dropped dead. I wondered if it was a seizure. Sorry to hear this one passed Steve,he was a beautiful fish.

Beautiful Penang Steve, what a lovely fish. hey, what is the lineage of the Penang? I know its part LSS, Im just wondering what was crossed to make a Penang. thanks!
