my ambulia is growing quite a bit and there are alot of long shoots coming out. is it possible to cut the shoots and make another bunch of ambulia from it? or will it eventually die off?

you can cut and replant the side shoots, its a great fast growing plant.

Hey Louie, I wish I had your problem.I can grow R.wallichi,tiger lotus,blyxa ,everything but ambulia.It never really gets going & ends up covered in brown crap so I gave up.
Is there a secret to growing ambulia that I don't know about?

Yep replant the tops all will continue to grow. :)

im new at growing plants so dnt really know any secrets. been trying to grow a few different plants. but for some reason, only the ambulia survive. from one bunch, i now have 5.

i wanna get some amazon swords. does anyone know if they are hard to keep?

nice and easy to keep if you have good light and a good substrate. PM me if your after some I'll proably be able to give you few pointers.

Amazons are not demanding. They do need good substrate or root tabs since they are heavy root feeders though. And med light or higher for best results.
