Hi All,
In a bit of a pickle.
Today I went to a "reputable" store south of the city with the aim of buying a pondmaster UV unit.
With a 9W in hand, ready to buy for my 124L tank with a flow rate of approx 240LPH, I was told that there is no guarantee that the unit would not overheat with such a small flow rate. This scared me somewhat and so given that I wanted to buy something due to the distance involved, and did not want to risk my money, I purchased a 9W AA-Aquarium branded (internal) UV "steriliser". It don't work and the best time for me to take it back is tomorrow.
Now, I want to pay the extra for a 9W pondmaster, but can I just confirm before going all the way back and getting a pondmaster that a 9W unit will sterilise at a flow rate of roughly 240 LPH and not overheat at that rate?
