Question about a UV Sterilizer

I'm thinking about getting a UV Sterilizer for my 55 gallon ( 208L ) Discus tank... I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a good UV sterilizer... Some people say getting one too big can be harmful but others say you need a bigger 1 to combat against parasites. So if anyone could recommend a brand and wattage that would be a HUGE help :D

How do you know how much watts you need? I have a canister that does around 1200L/hr attached to a 9w UV steriliser, is that ok? will it still work good?

I am using a Laguna power clear 25w in a pond and another in my aquarium.... their running off a 1000 l/h filter and is said to be 99% efficient.... I stand by Laguna uv-c
