Hi folks,
we just recently migrated to this gorgeous place and are reestablishing our fish tank. Unfortunately the movers smashed one of the panes, so it needs repair - once this is done and us being in our final destination in Mt. Torrens - very cosmopolitan, I agree - we will set up our 1,100 litre discus tank veeeeeery slowly. If the insurance compensates us for the damage the new tank will be much bigger.
While we already discovered a few good sources for equipment, plants and the like we are still on the lookout for good quality discus. Our preference would be to have two flocks in the tank, one wild-caught red (Ica, good Alenquers etc.), and one Heckel, heaps of plants, the usual herd of Paracheirodon (the debate whether classical or black neons isn't finished so far - I go for 500 of the black ones), and a few catfishes, that's more or less it. Eventually lateron a few Geophagus or Satanoperca, but we have to see how it goes first.
I would be very pleased if any of the "Adelaidians" could get in touch with me, also re. any discus club activities going on here.
Thanks in advance for your kind response and cheers, mates.

BTW, if anyone would want to know where I am from, my mothers family is Namibian, my father's Polish, I was conceived in Greece (never go on vacation unprotected, you might end up with someone like me...), raised in Germany, worked and lived in France, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, the US, Japan and China, and am finally setteling down where I belong...there is not better place to be, seriously. I hope you are aware of how blessed you are ?!
