i have a moderate planed discus tank. i am curently using seachem prime to do water changes. is it okay to use the pond prime version? i have a big tank and a smaller tank. for the smaller tank i change only 40L each time. so 0.5mL of the pond prime is recommended. is this bad for the tank?

How did you find out about Pond Prime?
Mate I think just keep using the regular Prime. I don't see any advantage to using Pond Prime. You have an aquarium, not a pond, so I would stick with the regular stuff.

According to Seachem:
Q: What is the difference between Pond Prime and Prime? Do I have to buy both for my aquarium and pond? Can I use either product?
A: The products are actually the same. However, the instructions are different. Given that most pond are more of an open system compared to a typical aquarium, chlorine tends to gas off more readily in a pond in effect having to use less Prime. The dosing instructions are as follows:
- for aquarium use, 1 ml per 10 gallons
-for pond use, 2 tablespoons per 600 gallons
