i was very happy with my hanna instruments combi meter for pH ec and temperature
probably not the cheapest and has lasted me 3 yrs with little issue, just the calibration

Hi mate,

Ive been using one of these for the last 6 months and its been going really well. I have the unit on the side of the tank hood and the electode is hidden in the tank so it gives constant PH. If you leave it on 24/7 then the batteries will die in a few weeks so i just press the on button when i want to check it.

Oh and i have used one fo these before and it didnt work to good. The Hygrometer broke before i could use it and the PH was all over the place after calibiration.
