What plants would you use to recreate an Amazon Biotope...

apart from the obvious swords, etc, what else would you use???

I am also thinking having a substrate of 10-20mm river pebbles to make vacuuming easier. And lots and lots of wood as well...

Any thoughts or suggestions?

i used heaps of river pebble in my tank years ago mate, to be honest you do get sick of it pretty quick. I feel it starts to look dirty to quick

I believe the finest and the lightest colours are the best to show off the discus colours the best.

Just my opinion anway

ps are there any supplliers of sand out there?????????????????

There was an interesting article on Amazonian biotopes in this months TFH including actual underwater site photo's - they looked pretty bare mainly sand, leaf litter, sticks, Timber and not much else. Still be nice to set one up though !.
