Congratulations flaggy.

What is your secret?
My Baenschi have spawned so many times that I have lost count BUT the eggs always get eaten by either the male or female & can't for the life of me figure out why - very frustrating.

Hi Bubbles - unfortunately, the previous spawn did not result in anything (eggs eaten). However, they have spawned again a couple of days ago - in a cavity underneath a log this time - so fingers crossed!

Looks like they are into the Java moss already. They might be able to get enough nutrients out of that for a little while too.

Good luck

Well, the wrigglers are only 2 days old, but the mum is taking them back to their cave at night, and then transporting them to the cavity on the log again in the morning. What's more, she's chewing up food around them.

Is she stupid or clever, I don't know. Good maternal instincts though, but poor timing!
