quarantining fish

g'day all....how many new fish, 3-4 inches, could i keep in a 2ftx1ftx1ft tank to put them thru the q/t process, assuming a 50% water change every 2 days. I'm looking at 6-7 fish, would that be ok ?

4 would be better,
50% daily and 6 should be ok for a month, so long as waste and uneaten food are removed 1/2hour after each feeding.
