New to Discus

Hi,I just started changing over a 180 gal(6x2x2)to house discus.I have been in the hobby for about 20 yrs but never tried discus I guess was just a little scared.Now I am ready to take the plunge.I guess what I need to now is all the basics in keeping discus-temp,ph,tankmates,how many to keep and were to buy(local store or mail).I hope these are not to dumb of questions I just want to do this right and not lose any fish.

magdrive welcome to the forum , well you have come to the right place if you are about to get in to discus, you have a good size tank, as for the temp about 30, to 34 degree ,ph 6.0 to 6.8 is good, tank mate well there are heaps you can have ,
there are no silly or dumb questions here , but i would suggest that you get reading here on there forum all the answers you seek are here in ther forum . good luck have fun and heaps of pics are always welcome . hope you have fun .
