Although I went to some effort to make sure my tank was level before filling it 3 or so weeks ago, I have noticed in the last couple of days the level is about 5mm off. Should I be worried about this - I've heard that it can put stress on the joins and cause leaks.

The tank is 61 x 50 x 100 cm 10mm glass with silicon joins, reinfored with perspex rods inside, and corner braces outside....

does anyone else have this problem??

should be fine, 5mm could just be the slope of the floor.

So sorry to hear about your evil cockroach incident! Though I reackon those fish couldn't be in better hands in such a crisis!!

I've got a slight 3-5mm drop from one end to the other. It's never been a problem and like you my tank is also 10mm thick.
