How do you keep fish in quarantine for??

Hi,
im getting some ottos to help control my algea and need to no how long should they be in quarantine before they go into my main tank. How long can they surive without eating algea, what do you feed them??. cheers Axl

you can feede the algae wafers or similar stuff,or macs spirulina flakes.

4-6 weeks in the Q. tank would be ideal
