how to clean a 2nd hand tank

hey all. whats the best thing to do to a 2nd hand tank to make sure there are no narsties to foul water or fish.there is a little bit of old dry alge on gless and silicone.

Give it a good scrub and a wash with tap water and an algae pad, then splash some unsented bleach in there (a capfull or 2 will do and wash it 2x more.

fill it up and add a triple dose of prime, then drain, if there is no chlorine smell its good to go if there is fill and drain it 2x more 9tripple dose prime on the last wash).
