setup advice pls

hi all,i have just purchased a breeding tank.i know this has probably been asked a million times but what are the correct procedures of setup and cycling of a breeding tank before i add my pair of discus.any advice would be greatly appriciated. :D

run your sponge filter for a good 2 weeks in the main tank before you put it in your breeding tank.
Use water from the main tank to fill the breding tank.
Make sure temp is stable before introcucing your fish.

once your fish are in treat them with prazi or pp to remove gill flukes.

Curiosity only, but why would you treat for gill flukes if no symptoms are present, just because you are changing tanks.

Even if you dont have symptoms they may be present in VERY LOW numbers.

Gill flukes will decimate your fry once they get to the 1-3 week mark.
