im going to start ageing water in a spare tank ive got. Whats the best way to transfer that water into my tank ?
its 120 L of water so using a bucket is out of the question.

hobby pump and a hose. one with a hmax of atleast 2m and a flow of atleast 1000L would be best.

i was thinking a pond pump, whats hmax ?
also the water will need to travel up around 2 m

You have answered your own question. Hmax- Head max, is the height the pump can draw the water vertically against gravity.

If your pushing the water up 2m you'll need a pump with ATLEAST 3m of head height.
very roughly speaking, a pump with a Hmax of 2m will flow a very slow trickel at a height of 2m and 0 water a height of 2.2m.
look for a pump with 4m of hmax, i believe ben at AOA has one on sale at the moment.
