changing from a 3ft to a 4ft

Hi Guys im changing my tanks over and im going to be running my mates system that he had setup on his tank with the system i am running.

I have cleaned all of his equipment as my equipment is going to be also used i.e. gravel, rocks, filter, water etc. Would i have any issues with the transfer of my equipment over to the new tank and adding the new filter and gravel at the same time???

should be fine, just keep the filter media and gravel wet and you'll be fine, also try to have it all done within an hour or 2 to keep all your bacteria viable.

what about the median from the new filter im going to set up with the sponge, would u suggest getting median??

if you've got theold gravel and the old media from the old filter (or even better if you can run both the old and new filter) that will "seed" your new media with the correct bacteria
