depending on what you read an believe, gh should be anyware from 0-8 degrees.
my fish do fine with a gh of about 4. to convert degrees to ppm multiply by 18

After getting only 2-3 wrigglers I used Peat to soften the Adelaide water. Got about 30 wrigglers once but that wasn't sustainable. My water was approx 370ppm.
Took the plunge and purchased a RO unit brought the hardness right down (40ppm when the pair spawned). Today I have 130 wrigglers...

Funny you should say that.
I used to use a mix of 75% R/O and 25% tap but constanly my PH would crash to around 4.5 - 5 so i changed to 25% r/o and t5% tap. Now my PH is stable at just over 6 but my wrigglers in the last 2 - 3 spawns have dropped from hundreds to 30 - 40. May have to reconsider a few things.
