Hi all.
These were the first discus I ever purchased about a year ago. They were listed at super reds. They looked very much like their offspring in the 3rd pic. I figured at that size they just weren't old enough to colour up yet. I was a little dismayed when they never did. They are still a very attractive colour though. I just wondered if this was common in this strain. I was told that only about 10% will achieve the super red colour. Of course as a noob, I believed them. Are they derived from the marlboro or the melon? I think the melon is supposed to be a 'cleaner' marlboro, but where do these fit in? Or are these not reds at all. Thanks. scott.
