big filter on a planted tank

i got a 4x2x2 with a fx5 filter on it
is this to much flow for a planted tank for some cats an discus?

no way i had an aquis 2400 on a 4x2x1.5 and the fish and plants loved it!, if you've got a spray bar angle it toewards the surface from one side of the tank pointing at the other, the fish will think they're in a river. great way to grow up juvis.
