adding discus

I have 3 discus already and are happy and healthy but want to add 1 or 2 more. I have read that adding more fish can cause plague or have i misunderstood this. Any advice for adding more other than quarantining them would be much appreciated

If it makes any difference my discus are small only about 3 inches.

hi there arjones it is a good idea to always quarantin any new fish that you wish to add to your tank for a month or so just incase they do have any probs , how ever if you get the fish from good stock and unerstand the back ground like a good breeder then you may not have to do it for as long , but it is at yor own risk if you dont good luck hope it goes well

with discus plague there is no guarantee, the carriers can be perfectly healthy, there is no way of knowing.
