thats a good size tank.
depending on how hard you want to work that tank is good for 8-14 adults.
obviously with 8 you could get away with less water changes then you would with 14.

ya it all depends on the filtration and water changes. And how big the fish are if they are 12-14 cm or 18-20 cm is a big differents.
I keep up to 25 12-14 in a 6x2x2 with 3 big sponges and 25% water change every 2 day, no worries.

Great :D
I think I'm gonna keep 8 discus and some tiny fishes as Tetras (Planted aquarium, with lots of wood reefs - Amazonian biotope aquarium 8-)
Maybe I will also breed them but one thing on a time

Sounds good, 8 discus in a 650L will grow very fast, you'll have nice fish in no time.

WOW, 25 adults in 6ft. I asked this same question in another forum and the answer was 8 max. And that was for juve discus! so right now I have 4 with some tetras.

the critical part of that statement was 3 large sponge filters and DAILY 25% water changes
you can overstock any system I do in my grow out tanks but you NEED to put in the HARD WORK!
