Hi guys & girls
Just wondering if anyone has used mosquito lavae as a live food source
for discus? If so is it safe to use? :) :) :)
Any advice would be appreciated

I"ve used them with great sucess, i used clean filtered rain water in a 60L tub outside, once i saw mozzi wrigglers I'd net out what i could with an old stocking, after each harvest i emptied the tub, washed it down and dried it out before going again, to keep out any bugs or paracites.

mossie lavae make excellent foods for any fish!
They can have pathongens on them so its a good idea to put them through a salt bath before feeding. I never did it but i dont recommend it!
mossie lavae contain a hormone that helps fish to spawn.

mozzie wrillers are a great food to help new fish start eating ,i love the way the colour comes out in the fish as they pig out on them .They are like oysters to fish just the thing to get them in the mood .
