Just got from collecting fishies in New Guinea - saw that Bay had some. Got 6. Not too bad but they are a bit less coloured than last years Bay batch. Have got a trio that are looking like breeding - yes a trio. Anyone that reckons discus pair and bond for life obviously haven't kept wilds. I've got a promiscuous bunch up here for sure. Will send some photos soon but the colour of these greens is a bit more yellow than normal. Very nice

Been 5 hours and they have settled in very well!

As they should because they come from Glaser!

See how I put the 'black' in blackwater!

Mate that is how discus are suppose to look how good is the color on the heads and fins, and how deep is the red in the eyes!

Ben is the blackwater from the wood or have you added black water extract to the water?

Illusn, its the addition of Sera's blackwater extract, mopani driftwood and catappa leaves. I am very impressed the way these discus have settled in better than some heckels i bought a few years back!

They have settled in more than expected within a week so I have polished the water with Purigen yet kept the PH the same. They eat what ever is given to them.

I must mention that the flash i used on the photo's severley washed out thier colour.

I can see we'll have to get some updated piccies for you.

The wild greens look wonderful schooling with the heckels and Royal Blues.

I have two altums in there with the wild discus (yes I know I tell everyone not to do it) and so far it's all working well, but the pH is around 4.5  Taksan calls me the queen of low pH. Better than being the queen of overfeeding I guess, although I'm still guilty of that too

Anyway, we'll get organized and post some photos shortly. I promise
