hello! i recently put some clown loaches in my tank, I noticed when the light is off they swim all around the whole tank but the whole time it is on they hide under rocks and dont move much... is that normal? is it bad for the fish?
thanks!

how many do you have? they prefer to be in groups, may be that if you get a few more they will come out more as they'll feel more secure the light should'nt really affect them unless it 100000000000's of wats

Clown Loaches are nocturnal fish i think. I used to lose cardinals every night when i had placed a big one in a community tank. I usually have at least 3 in a tank. they always do better in a small group. they are fun to watch but i reckon they disturb the discus too much at night. I used to have a moon light, while everyone is asleep. they were going hypo everywhere looking for food... but they also come out during feed time... :-)

I have a group of six little ones, like 1-2 inches...
