Grwoing out discus

Hey everyone , I'm new here and will be new to discus soon. I have a 2ft tank that probably holds about 15gals of water. I was wondering if I could raise 4 one inch baby discus in that until I set up my 6ft tank. would that affect health and growth or would it be easier to maintain and enhance growth! oh... is it possible for you all to reccommend a good filtering system? eg. how many filters and sponges would i need for the 6ft, to maintain PH etc.

in a tank that small you'll have to atleast 2x daily changes with heavy feeding to stop them getting stunted.

1 inch as a very hard size to grow discus from, i used to loose about 1/2 my spawns at that size, they dont take being moved very well.
