Hi anyone know how the golden gene is inhertited?
I have done golden x golden = all golden and also golden x alenquer = 50% golden.
Looks like one one recessive allele is required to produce a golden fish.
I also think that my group consists of both heterozygous and homozygous recessive for the mutant gene i.e. If both parents in the golden x golden cross were heterozygous then I would have gotten some brown offspring.
Anyone know for sure?
