I went out to the LFS today and purchased Jungle "Parasite Clear Tank Buddies" with the intent of treating my 170gal community tank. When I got home, I read the label carefully and under the CAUTIONS it states "Harmful to crustaceans such as shrimp and crabs." Anyone out there have any experience with this product and its effect on shrimp? Pretty much impossible to remove them before treating the tank.
Active ingredients:
praziquantel
diflubenzuron
metronidazole
acriflavine
thanks in advance,

Sounds like a bit of a nasty cocktail for shrimp mate, how much of each ingredient is present?

That's is one of my problems, it doesn't give the concentrations.
Btw, when you treat with Praz, what concentration do you shoot for?
I wish that I could get the 100% tablets in the US that you can buy in Oz. :banghead
thanks,

some agents in there work on paralysing invertabrates at lower dose than veterbrates , so i would assume that shrimp wont live

Thanks for the response fishgeek. Looks like Jungle Labs is off of the list for the community tank.
Have a good one, :)
