Need help identifying this symptom...

Hi,
my discus has developed some white spot mark on the tail. And I am wondering is that a disease?And what sort of medicine to cure it?
I am a newbie in discus keeping so any idea will be really appreciated.

one way to get rid of them is to lower the ph
