discus growth rates

Hi I am new to discus and was wondering on how fast they grow on average. Say how long to be full grown.

depends on strain, feeding, health, water changes, stocking density, nitrate levels etc etc etc.
I guess if you had a fast growing strain in ideal conditions, you could probably get it to about 12-14cm in around six months.
