What type of discus is this?

I went into an aquarium store today, of course, and asked the owner if he had any wilds. He told me that the one in the pic is a wild. Is it a wild and if so what type is it?

And is it a tank bred wild or wild caught.

If it's in his shop for sale, then he should know all about it.

I asked him what type but he didn't tell me. He pulled out a magazine and showed me some photos of wilds that looked similar to the one pictured. Thats why I had a feeling he was just trying to sell me something.

nice strong stress bars nice red eye, its got a black halo as well I'd be thinking wild brown or heckel cross blue turk proably an F2?

It does look like a wild or wild cross, maybe blue discus. How much did he want for it? I guess the price would give you a rough idea if it was or not. Or he could just be pretending it's a wild and charging for it.

from the shotty background that is on the tank id say oakleigh aquarium if it is the case then i wouldnt touch it with a ten foot poll

i still wouldnt touch it he will claim to have bred all his stock himself but in actual fact it come from a wholesaler in melbourne
