One of my discus has it's left gill protruding alot more than the right gill.
It has gone off it's food and lost colour.

I treated the tank with Prazi but the gill is still the same.

Should I treat it with Levamisole or metro (if I can find some)?

Also what disease does it have, maybe flukes.

The other discus in the tank are fine.

Thanks,
Dave

if its flukes the prazi should have taken care of it.
have you concidered a potasium permangenate bath?
I dont think it's roundworms, they usually only inhabit the gut, so Levamisole would be useless. Dont use metro unless you have too, bugs are becoming resistant to it.

Thanks,
Dave.

if you need it I can spare enough for a few 10min baths, just let me know what size treatment tank (or bucket you'll be using).

I have ordered the pp from my chemist and it will be here tomorrow. I have a small tank which is approx 80 litres.

What is the procedure for dosing it?

Thanks,
Dave

you'd want to go 10mg/L so 80L needs 800mg or 0.8g.

just a dip for 10 min will kill any paracites around the gills. you might need to repeat in a week or so.
