Gday,

Has anybody used a diatom filter? Are they worth it? People in the US rave about the Vortex brand diatom filters.

Any info would be great.

I was just thinking about these yesterday. Google turned up only one Australian seller and the price was $440-$540, which seems outrageous to me.

The cheapest I have seen it is $410 at aquamail.com.au.

Didn't find it. Do you know what page?

One of those Chinese factories needs to do a knock-off of the Vortex. Afterall, they're not that different from a canister filter.

I can see the Vortex bags on the bottom right of page 31 (page 34 of pdf file) but no mention of the actual filters. Bottom left of page 31 is "Jebo Quick start canister filter".
