My question:

If you have a pair of discus that have bred over a year or so together regularly, and then the male or female dies, is it easy or do discus generally tend to pair up with someone else again after that, or are they more likely to just breed with one single partner in their life?
Both situations probably happen, but what is sort of the usual/common behavior?

thanks

I've never had a breeder pair up again after loosing its partner.

re-pairing can be done quite easily. I change pairs quite frequently. However there are a few occasions when a stubborn fish just refuses to breed with another.
