starting up a tank

i am new to the discus world and i am needing some advice on what i am getting myself into, i live in wollongong nsw and i am having trouble finding somebody to get GOOD advise from, can anybody help

I am new to discus to and have just got from the local news agent a book called the Aquarium keeper Australia it has a very good article on discus keeping it may help you as it has helped me

Yes I agree that reading articles is a good idea... but then again you get a lot of conflicting information. For e.g. That 'Aquarium keeper' said some funny stuff!

I think its best for you to post your questions here and get discus keepers to help you from experience... otherwise speak to your local aquarium. As long as their discus' look healthy and hungry!
